Pre-Calculus
This is a comprehensive course to build strong foundations in Calculus and help students excel in Pre-Calculus or Calculus courses.
Instructor: Alireza Amir-Ghassemi
Alireza has more than 2 decades of extensive experience tutoring Mathematics and Physics including Calculus to High School as well as College Level students. Alireza emphasizes on pedagogical aspects of teaching and learning. He teaches through the methods of organized learning and thinking; and helps students discover for themselves. Alireza holds advanced degree in mathematical sciences as well as Engineering. Alireza will use online communication and educational tools for effective learning during this virtual class.
Who should take this Course: Grades in Fall 2023 – 9 (students who are strong base in Algebra), 10, 11, 12
- Students whose school background in math is not sufficient for taking standard calculus or AP calculus in high school.
- Students who need strong foundation in precalculus and interested in STEM majors for higher mathematics courses.
- Students who need strong foundation in precalculus and interested in non-STEM major in college.

Essay Writing
This is a comprehensive course to build strong foundations in writing essays. Students will develop strong writing skills to tackle a variety of writing in their high school years including essay writing, book reports, analysis, standardized tests, variety of AP tests etc. Writing skills developed in this course will also help them improve writing their college applications.
Instructor: Andrew Martineau
Andrew has been an educator for more than 30 years, and has been a tutor for over 10 years. He has a master's degree in English, as well as a master's in Education. Andrew has taught on all levels, with most of his classroom teaching experience in the high school and college levels.
Who should take this Course: Grades in Fall 2023 – Hons 8 to 10.
- Students needing strong foundations in English Courses, grammar and editing skills and want to learn to organize their thoughts to be able to write in a coherent style.
- Students who want to build foundations in essay writing; and want to be better equipped to handle standardized tests.
- Students looking to take AP courses like AP Literature and Composition, AP Research or AP Seminar, AP History (any), AP Psychology, Sociology and other Social Science courses.

Intro to Micro and Macro Economics (AP Economics)
This 6-week course will introduce fundamental concepts and theories of Microeconomics and Macroeconomics. The students will be exposed to wide range of economics topics, include Comparative advantage, supply and demand, Marginal Theory, market structures, Aggregate Supply and Demand, the concepts of GDP and Inflation, and mechanisms of Monetary and Fiscal Policies. Upon the completion of this course, the student will grasp better understanding of basic concepts and theories of economics, able to analyze and perceive the world through logical application of economic principles, and able to utilize empirical tools to analyze economic events.
Instructor: David
David has a Bachelor's degree in Economics. Currently he is a candidate for PhD in economics at George Mason University. David aspires to be a University Professor, teaching undergraduate and Graduate level Economic courses.
