Steve Twining - Director

Dr. Steve Twining has over 50 years in education and training. He taught 6th grade in the south side of Chicago as his first teaching assignment. He has also taught high school math and American History. A Special Forces combat veteran, Steve is a member of the Special Forces Association Chapter XV in San Antonio, the VFW, the Mike Force Association, and the Special Operations Association. After receiving his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan School of Education, Dr. Twining served as Dean of St. John's Military Academy, Superintendent of the American Schools in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and was the Founding Commandant of the nation's first Military Magnet Middle School for the Charleston County School District in South Carolina. Steve was elected as Secretary of the US Chamber of Commerce of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, serving for 6 years. He owned Horizons Unlimited Corporation for twenty years specializing in developing web based scenarios and simulations for the Department of Defense. He has presented over 1000 seminars in Team Building, TQM, Statistical Process Control, How to be a Successful Trainer, Train the Trainer, etc. Steve worked for six years as a special consultant to FEMA for Louisiana school systems following hurricanes Katrina, Rita, Ike and Gustav. Steve and his wife, Setsuko, now live in San Antonio returning to the birth state of his father. He is currently the owner of the Club Z! In-Home Tutoring Franchise in San Antonio.

Miki Twining - Associate Director

Miki Twining has over 20 years in business, specializing in marketing, accounting, graphic design and entrepreneurship. A graduate of Millikin University, Ms. Twining has worked in interior design, entertainment, and training & development. An accomplished musician and artist, Miki continues to find time to pursue her interests. Ms. Twining is active in charitable work to include LA Works, Children Of The Night, and other organizations. After a 15 year hiatus, Ms. Twining has rejoined Dr. Twining in his latest venture, Club Z! In-Home Tutoring Franchise in San Antonio as Associate Director and part owner.

Jacob Warren

Jacob Warren is from Jackson, Mississippi and graduated from Millsaps College with degrees in English and Communications. After completing his degrees, he joined the Mississippi Teachers Corp and taught English and U.S. History in the Mississippi Delta while working on and completing his Masters Degree.

Since that time, he has worked in both the non-profit and private sectors of education and curriculum design. After he began tutoring with Club Z! In 2016, he assumed the duties of Assistant Director in 2017 and enjoys helping families and students across San Antonio find the academic relief they need.
